Certiflower – proven bee-friendly and ready for the future
With Certiflower, Dümmen Orange introduces a new generation of perennials that are demonstrably attractive to pollinators and perfectly match the wishes of modern consumers. This collection – which includes Salvia, Delosperma and Lavandula varieties – is the result of three years of scientific research in collaboration with Naturalis Biodiversity Centre. The research focused on breeding for flower characteristics that demonstrably improve the foraging efficiency and nectar yield of bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
The result is a strong, visually appealing series of perennials that not only perform well in the garden but also stand out on the shop floor. The plants are heat-resistant, low-maintenance, bloom for a long period from May to September and do not require growth regulators (PGRs). Moreover, they are suitable for both pots and borders, making them widely applicable for various target groups.
Certiflower responds to current themes such as biodiversity, sustainability and climate adaptation and offers a distinctive concept for garden centres, florists and other retailers. For garden centres, the focus is on large pot sizes, while compact varieties are available for other points of sale. The concept can be supported with POS materials such as labels, table signs or presentation on CC trolleys.
Sales in the Netherlands are handled by Dümmen Orange itself. In other European countries, distribution is handled by agencies. Marketed by FN Kempen and Mts. van de Wetering. Sustainably produced under MPS certification.
