Prunus persica ‘Minpechfor’ (GOLDEN CAESAR)

Prunus persica “Minpechfor” (GOLDEN CAESAR) is a new peach variety that stands out for its exceptional disease resistance and wide range of uses. This selection has been tested for peach leaf curl by a renowned research institute and scores highly for tolerance. In addition, GOLDEN CAESAR is highly resistant to chlorosis, allowing it to thrive even in calcareous soils. It also tolerates drought well, making this tree particularly suitable for various climate zones and soil types.
The fruits are juicy and sweet, ripen in September and are easy to harvest. GOLDEN CAESAR can be propagated both by grafting and by cuttings. Thanks to its strong characteristics, this peach is a promising choice for both professional growers and enthusiasts looking for a robust and productive tree.
Prunus persica GOLDEN CAESAR was selected from seedlings by Isabelle and Jean-Yves Forest of Pépinières Forest SARL in Louresse-Rochemenier (France). The variety is protected by plant breeders’ rights. The plant has been commercially available since January 2025. Formidable Plant Breeders from Beaufort-en-Anjou submitted the plant for testing.
