Buddleja davidii ‘SMNBDB’ (PUGSTER® PINKER)

Buddleja davidii “SMNBDB” (PUGSTER® PINKER) is the latest addition to the successful Pugster® line of compact butterfly bushes from the Proven Winners® programme. This strong, hardy Buddleja combines a very low, compact growth habit with exceptionally large flower panicles in a striking intense pink colour.
Pugster® Pinker flowers continuously from early summer to autumn, with flowers that attract butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects. Its size makes this cultivar ideal for smaller gardens, pots or the front of borders.
This introduction further expands the colour spectrum within the Pugster® series. Pugster® Pinker is a beautiful addition to the earlier selections – formerly known as Rockerstar® – such as Pugster® Indigo, Orchid, Snow and Amethyst. The plant was bred by Mrs. M. Mathey of Spring Meadow Nursery (Grans Haven, Michigan, USA) and will be available in Europe from 2025 through Valkplant BV. Plant breeders’ rights are pending.
