Semponium ‘Diamond’ – F.N. Kempen

Semponium ‘Diamond’ is een baanbrekende intergenerische kruising tussen Aeonium en Sempervivum. Het is de eerste officieel erkende kruising tussen deze geslachten. ‘Diamond’ heeft een heldere limoengroene, opvallende bladkleur met contrasterende rode randen bij blootstelling aan de zon. De plant heeft een compact formaat en wordt tot ongeveer 40 cm hoog en 40 cm breed. Hij groeit uit tot een mooie dichte, kegelvormige plant naarmate de plant volwassen wordt. Eén kop produceert gemiddeld 12 offsets. De rozetten zijn groot en sterk, de bladeren zijn dik, stevig en glanzend. De plant is gewonnen door Mark Lea en Daniel Michael uit Engeland en is kwekersrechtelijk beschermd. De inzending is gedaan door F.N. Kempen uit Mijdrecht die de plant ook in de handel brengt. Het management loopt via Plantipp BV uit IJsselstein.
