Ilex crenata LUXUS® Globe is een prachtige verschijning met zijn compacte, bolle vorm. De plant wordt 60 cm hoog en 50 cm breed. Net als buxus is het blad donkergroen, glanzend en plat. Ilex crenata LUXUS® Globe is sterk. De heester is ongevoelig voor ziektes en winterhard tot -22° Celsius. Het blad behoudt zijn groene kleur gedurende het jaar, in tegenstelling tot sommige andere Ilex-soorten. Ilex crenata LUXUS® Globe is zeer makkelijk in het onderhoud. Deze heester behoeft minder snoeibeurten dan andere Ilex-soorten. Het is een mannelijke plant, dus je hebt geen last van giftige bessen. Ilex crenata LUXUS® Globe is uitstekend te gebruiken voor stedelijk groen en massabeplanting. Ook zeer geschikt als solitair op balkon of terras, in borders en als lage haag of vormstruik. Plaats LUXUS® Globe in goed doorlatende en vruchtbare grond, leem, zanderige grond of veengrond. Hij verdraagt zowel (half-)schaduw als zon.
