Pennisetum advena ‘TUS022’ (TINY TAILS)

Pennisetum advena “TUS022” (TINY TAILS) is a compact and graceful newcomer to the ornamental grass range. This mutation from Tuszyńscy Gospodarstwo Ogrodnicze in Poland immediately catches the eye with its striking dark red foliage, which contrasts beautifully with the soft, fluffy flower plumes that appear from summer to autumn.
Thanks to its natural, mound-shaped growth habit, TINY TAILS is extremely versatile in use. It is ideal for modern gardens, prairie plantings, rockeries, urban green spaces and large landscaping projects. This plant also creates a decorative and calming look when used as ground cover or in pots and containers. What’s more, it is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant and suitable for a wide range of conditions.
Pennisetum TINY TAILS is protected by plant breeders’ rights and will be marketed from 2025 by Hoogeveen Plants B.V. and F.N. Kempen vof. They will jointly submit the plant for inspection. Plantipp B.V. is responsible for the management of this new variety.
