Buddleja davidii “Botex 009” (LITTLE ROCKSTARS RED) is part of an impressive new series: LITTLE ROCKSTARS®, the smallest richly flowering butterfly bushes on the market. This variety flowers profusely from July to October with intense dark red flowers that attract bees and butterflies from the first bloom. LITTLE ROCKSTARS RED combines an extremely compact and natural rounded growth habit with striking flowering abundance. Thanks to its size, the plant is perfectly suited for smaller flowerpots, mixed planters, pre-planting and even balcony planting. It requires hardly any maintenance, but provides months of colour, fragrance and biodiversity.
The series was developed from seedlings by Botanic Experience in Kaatsheuvel. The introduction of “Botex 009” is planned for 2025. Florensis B.V. has submitted this cultivar, which is protected by plant breeders’ rights, for inspection. Plantipp B.V. is responsible for the management of this new variety.
